Born in Augusta, ME, Feb. 17, 1866. Lived in Old Lyme, Connecticut. Pupil of Julien Academy in Paris under Bouguereau and Robert-Fleury.

Taught at Carnegie Institute of Technology, Pittsburgh. Specialized in landscapes.

Member: AAA of Paris; National Academy; National Arts Club, New York; Chicago Water Color Society; Paris American Art Association; Pittsburgh Art Association; Salmagundi Club; and Lotos Club.
