Nicola Consoni
Virgil and Dante meeting Homer, Horace Ovid and Lucan, oil on canvas, 37"x54" Painting was shown in the Boston Athenaeum from 1850-1869.
Born in Rieti, Italy.

Studied painting at the Academi de Derouse under Sanguinetti. Contributed to the decorating of the Vatican’s St. Peter’s basilica external front end to the Vatican’s library.
